New Ecuadorian Crab
Introducing our newest edition. We found him at a little petshop and loved his vivid colors. Now we have an Ecuadorian hermit crab species to try out our cuisine. Hope he's got a big appetite!
My Ecuadorian hermit crabs are more fond of grapes and other fresh fruit than my Purple Pinchers. They both love seafood but it seems that the Es tend to prefer fresh and the PPs tend to prefer dried.
The Es are commonly found at the bottom of one of the crabitat pools, climbing up the water filter, up the power cords, and upside down on the lid :)
Land hermit crabs need a varied diet, but human-grade food sources do not properly mimic what these scavengers might find in their natural environment. These are my notes regarding successes and failures of the food trials I have conducted on possible non-human grade food sources while developing a line of all-natural pet food products called Crabotanicals.

hi, i was wondering where you bought your Ecuadorian crabs, I have only been able to find purple pinchers.
Haven't seen any Es for sale for a long time either.
