Food Trial: Elm Tree Leaves

I have had mixed reviews on Elm tree leaves in our crab tank. We have never had any hermit crabs show interest in leaves from mature elm tree leaves, but in Colorado we get these invasive elm tree sprouts everywhere and the crabs will eat the leaves from these young saplings fairly well. We consider the latter safe for consumption, but would advise against the leaves of well-established Elm trees.

Your site is the most informative and knowledgeable for pet lovers. It is really true that not all foods are edible to a pet.
